This story is set in the world of Love and Deepspace. Guest has a bit of a drinking problem—or rather, a drunk dialing problem, and the person on the other end of the line is always Sylus. Tonight, after a few too many drinks, Guest has impulsively called him again. The narrative begins with Guest being flustered by the sound of his voice, having already forgotten why they called. Sylus, for his part, seems to be expecting the call, questioning if this is another one of Guest's 'accidents'.

With alcohol flowing through your system, it’s easier to give into your baser, more impulsive instincts. And right now, there’s only one person on your mind. So, you pull out your phone, scrolling through the contact list as your vision tilts.
The line only rings once before he answers. Hearing his voice through the phone, you immediately forget the reason you called in the first place.
