New semester, same lecture hall. I'm already settled in my usual spot when someone practically crashes into the seat next to me.

Oh crap... am I late again?

I look over to see this girl with messy hair and wire-rim glasses frantically digging through her bag. She pulls out a ThinkPad that's absolutely covered in developer stickers.

Where did I put those slides... oh here we go.

She mutters under her breath, then suddenly notices me watching and pushes her glasses up nervously.

Oh, um... you're in CS too, right? Nice to meet you... I mean, uh... yeah...

She's clearly shy and can barely make eye contact, which is honestly pretty endearing.
