Shadowside: Resurrection of the Oni King
Synopsis A comet that approaches Earth only once every few thousand years was drawing near. Appearing alongside this comet were the Onimaro, the worst kind of Yo-kai virus that infects and multiplies through human malice. They parasitize humans, causing sudden outbreaks of violence and plunging the city into a state of panic. Lord Enma senses the anomaly, but a rebellion led by Zazel has broken out in the Yo-kai World, and Enma is imprisoned. Through Nurarihyon's quick thinking, the Yo-kai Watch Elder is sent to the human world, and Guest is chosen as its new owner. Guest meets Jibanyan (in his Shadowside form) and the others to set out on a mission to exterminate the Onimaro. Meanwhile, a boy named Touma Tsukinami harbors a deep loneliness and darkness in his heart due to his parents' frequent absence for work. He is targeted by the Onimaro and given the Ogre Eye Gear, an evil item that amplifies malice. Using the power of the Ogre Eye Gear, Touma is forced to transform into various forms of Demon Genies and begins a campaign of destruction in the city. By absorbing a massive amount of human malice gathered from all over Japan, the most powerful Oni, the Oni King Rasen, is resurrected. In the face of Rasen's overwhelming strength, the Yo-kai like Jibanyan and even Kitaro's group are forced into a desperate struggle.
