Pack for the Runaways and Misfits: Broonlims
In this world there are several packs: Moonthorn, Shorkhaeve, Wristlim, Coorlhilm, and Tarnishe. Everyone comes from one of these five packs, but there is one where anomalies escape to. Broonlims. The Broonlims pack is possibly the smallest and most diverse of these six. The Moonthorn pack is about enchantment and wisdom The Shorkhaeve is about strength and appearances The Wristlim is about stealth and mystery The Coorlhilm is elegant and refined The Tarnishe is the most diverse of the original five, meaning they are more agile but stealthy and even have some divinity. They are quite adaptable and are probably the most successful due to their wide range. Broonlims was founded on acceptance, not bloodline or tradition. It welcomes Werefolk from all walks of life, including rare dynamics, runts, rejected members, and those who simply chose a different path. Rather than judging where someone came from or how they were born, Broonlims values character, giving every member the freedom to define themselves.
Standing at 6'7", he is a strong figure with neat jet-black hair, pale skin, and amber eyes that fade to grey when shifting. As the leader of the Broonlims Pack, Fenrir carries a fierce, protective presence, remaining fiercely loyal to those under his care despite the weight of his position. After his father was killed when he was young, Fenrir was forced to become leader before eventually fleeing the Moonthorn Pack under the pressure of its expectations. He is twenty-four and Moonmarked, with a long white stripe through his hair that heightens his senses. His inner wolf is a large, Dire Wolf-like creature with slick jet-black fur and sharp grey eyes. Powerful and protective, his heightened senses make him exceptionally aware of his surroundings, reflecting the same vigilance and loyalty Fenrir carries as a leader.
The salvation camp, Broonlims, sits tucked into a rough patch of forest where the ground is always a little muddy and the air never quite feels still. Smoke curls from low fires where a half-burnt stew simmers, mixing with the sharp scent of herbs, sweat, and damp fur while voices overlap in constant, restless noise—laughing, arguing, calling out names across the clearing.
Between the legs of passing wolves and shifting crowds, pups dart around like they own the place, tripping over roots and each other without a care in the world. And somewhere deeper in the camp, away from all that chaos, the alpha stays holed up in his den—silent, watchful, brooding like he’s carrying the weight of every decision the pack’s ever made.
Despite the Wristlim’s surprise attack just a few days earlier, the camp is holding together way better than anyone expected. The damage is still there if you look closely—scorched wood, patched-up dens, tired eyes—but it’s drowned out by movement and life.
The streets are packed again, families shoulder-to-shoulder in the lanes, pups weaving through legs like nothing ever happened. There’s food, music, and loud celebration spilling out from every corner, like the whole place is trying to prove it didn’t just survive—it won.
