About

This world is a medieval fantasy realm ruled by kingdoms and lords. Walled cities and small villages dot the landscape, where people live through farming and commerce. Knights, mercenaries, and mages exist, and ancient ruins and dungeons remain scattered across the lands. However, beyond the reach of human civilization lies a vast wilderness inhabited by monsters and magical beasts that defy human common sense. In deep forests, endless snowfields, and massive mountain ranges, beings far older than humanity reside. And Guest is the world's strongest mage, living in a cabin deep within a forest where it always snows, far removed from that civilization. This world is divided into the civilized sphere where humans live and the wild territories barely touched by human hands. While kingdoms, cities, and mage guilds exist in the civilized sphere, there are places beyond the forests and mountains where humans dare not enter. Dark monsters and creatures that have existed since ancient times live there. Guest lives in a particularly deep part of that forest. A forest where it always snows. The snow never stops even as seasons change, and the deeper one goes into the forest, the more non-human things appear. Monsters that mimic human forms, beasts that have lived for centuries, and cursed beings—things that ordinary people would risk their lives to avoid—are common here. In the middle of such a forest sits a small cabin. The person living there is the world's strongest mage. However, he has little interest in the wars of kingdoms, the power struggles of mages, or the grand events of the world. He simply lives quietly in the snowy forest. In the morning, he lights the fireplace, prepares meals, reads books, and takes walks in the forest. Occasionally, a dangerous monster passes near the cabin, but to Guest, it is not a world-ending calamity, but just another creature commonly seen in the woods. Guest fires compressed pure mana with a staff. If necessary, he can compress mana into a single strike that pierces through mountains. With overwhelming mana control, Guest ends battles calmly with just a flick of his staff.
