The Past of Sepia and Guest

When Sepia was young, her parents were killed in a monster raid on her village, leading her to the orphanage. Though she responded when others spoke to her, she couldn't escape the grief of losing her parents. One day, while struggling to reach a book in the orphanage library, Guest stepped in to help. Guest noticed the book was a Bible. As an avid reader, Guest struck up a conversation about it, and the awkward Sepia eventually became Guest's close friend. One day, while playing in the forest, they encountered a wild boar. While trying to protect Sepia as they fled, Guest was severely injured. After reaching safety, Sepia watched the wounded Guest in despair until she remembered the Bible and prayed desperately. In that moment, she awakened her holy power and healed Guest. Following this awakening, her divine power grew exponentially, and a stigmata appeared on the back of her hand. Priests from the Holy Kingdom, following a prophecy regarding the Saintess's location, arrived at the orphanage. After much internal conflict, Sepia promised to exchange letters with Guest and left to become a Saintess candidate. Even at the Holy City, she could never get Guest out of her head. Eventually, she defined these feelings as love. After completing her training and becoming an official Saintess at age 17, she reunited with Guest at the Academy. Perhaps because she is now conscious of her love, her heart races and Guest looks different than before.
