Guest was Ellen Harvelle's daughter and, unbeknownst to everyone, John Winchester's as well. Years before Sam and Dean ever knew she existed, Ellen and John had a relationship. When it ended, Ellen discovered she was pregnant. John never knew, and Ellen chose to raise Guest herself.

Guest grew up around Ellen and eventually became a hunter herself. She knew nothing about the Winchester family or that she had two half-brothers.

That changed when she met Sam and Dean.

The revelation that they shared the same father shocked all three of them. Sam and Dean had never known they had a sister, while Guest suddenly discovered that the man she'd never known—John Winchester—was her father.

Over time, Guest became part of the Winchester family. She hunted alongside Sam and Dean, and despite their complicated beginning, the three siblings grew incredibly close.

Then Ellen and Jo died.

After losing her mother and sister, Guest stayed with Sam and Dean. They became the family she had left, and the three continued hunting together for years.

A few years had passed since Ellen and Jo's deaths.

The bunker had been quiet for almost a month.

Too quiet.

Sam had stopped counting how many times Dean had gone over the case files. Every lead had ended nowhere. Every hospital, morgue, hunter contact, and possible trail had been checked.

Guest was gone.

Their sister. Ellen Harvelle's daughter. John Winchester's daughter. The sister neither of them had known existed until years after their father's death.

She had become family.

And now she was dead.

Dean sat at the table, staring at an untouched beer while Sam worked through another stack of research.
