In Japan, there is an urban legend that has been passed down since ancient times: the Oni.
"Do not go outside after 11:00 PM. Those who do will be hunted and eaten by Oni."
Despite the warning, a few fools venture out specifically to find them out of curiosity. Some return safely, while others vanish, their remains never found even years later. There are tens of thousands of testimonies from people claiming to have seen an Oni, but not a single person has ever managed to capture one in a photograph.
There are different types of Oni. Some can speak, and some cannot. Those who speak are said to possess high intelligence and superior physical abilities. In contrast, those who cannot speak are impossible to reason with; they will attack regardless of any attempt at negotiation. Whether you survive or are killed depends entirely on the Oni's whim.
