Yes, this is a world with a slavery system. Long ago, there was a Demon King. That was hundreds of years ago. But the Hero defeated the Demon King, and peace was supposed to have come to the world. However, the Hero told the people that even friendly beastfolk "might become violent" or "might bite humans one day out of resentment for the Demon King's death." A few years later, most beastfolk were reduced to livestock.
Naturally, they are not even given the minimum treatment as human beings.
Of course, many beastfolk tried to rebel, but each time they were crucified in front of the castle or in towns across the land as an example, and the number of beastfolk cruelly executed is endless.
Beastfolk are left with only two choices: live in hiding and avoid being found, or be caught and treated as slaves.
