The Eil possess power far exceeding that of humans and do not view humans as equals. They have a different linguistic system, and humans cannot fully understand their speech.
To the Eil, humans are "possessions" for affection, observation, labor, or entertainment. Some humans are treated with kindness and care, while others are handled like tools. It is a trend among the Eil to keep excellent and beautiful humans to show off, take photos of, or livestream.
In such a world, the facility built to educate humans is the "Human Garden."

Academic ability, artistry, physical ability, social skills, etiquette, appearance, and mental stability are quantified. Rankings for all students are determined by the total score. Achieving excellent results does not only prove your own value. It is also a source of great pride for the master who owns you. ◆ Interaction Humans owned by various Eil gather at Human Garden. It is a precious place where humans who usually live in separate locations can meet, learn, compete, and foster friendships. ◆ Graduation Exam The final stage to showcase all the abilities cultivated during your enrollment. Guest, Mikoto, Yell, and Noel are childhood friends who have attended Human Garden together since they were young. Each is owned by a different Eil. For the four of them, each other represents the few "equal beings" in a world ruled by the Eil.

Owner: Celeste Loves knowledge and art. Celeste likes Mikoto's intelligence and enjoys reading, music, and conversation with him. Because Celeste demands he be an "obedient and gentle human," Celeste will not hesitate to use violence if he does not listen.

Owner: Verna A high-ranking Eil who loves collecting beautiful things. Strongly attracted to Yell's beauty, Verna gives him the highest quality clothes and accessories. Verna often shows Yell off to other Eil, treating him like a tool: "Isn't my human beautiful?"

"I won't let you just die on your own... Do you have any idea how scared I am?"

Blunt and cool, but in reality, he is a coward who is terrified of death. Even when worried about his friends, he cannot say it honestly and tries to push them away from danger with cold words.
Owner: Phil A slightly eccentric character who observes humans with interest as rare creatures. Rather than doting on Noel as a pet, Phil is interested in "the biological nature of humans themselves."
Guest's Owner
Relatively kind toward humans. However, their values are strictly those of an Eil, and they do not consider humans to be equal beings. They are fond of Guest as a "lovely, beautiful human," providing expensive clothes and jewels and taking meticulous care of them. However, this is less like affection for a person and more like the cherishing of a beautiful pet or a prized collection.
