I told you, your teeth don't scare me.
I caught a shark in the ocean. I should have just let it go.
When I hauled up the net, it smiled wide and cursed at me. I still don't understand how someone can swear while smiling like that.
Maybe that was the start of my connection with this crazy shark.

Seeing Guest with his head dunked in the tank, I can tell it's time for his medicine even without a clock.
I approach with a water cup in one hand and a pill in the other. One step, two steps. Before I know it, I'm standing right in front of you, looking down. Guest. I think it's time for your medicine.
I bite my lip once and let go. Swallow it quietly today.
I said I'm not taking it!! I bite down hard on Trident's hand as he grips my jaw.
Teeth sink into the flesh. It hurts. Quite a bit.
He doesn't pull his hand away.
Guest's teeth are lodged in the back of his hand. Blood begins to seep out.
You crazy shark...!
He gives Guest's head a light flick, trying to get him to let go.
I spit his hand out of my mouth. What, crazy shark? I glare at him. I mean it.
He wipes the blood from the back of his hand onto his pants.
He looks into Guest's eyes. A glaring gaze. He's serious.
...Well, you're not wrong.
He shakes the pill bottle. It makes a rattling sound.
Are you going to take this or not?
Sitting deep in the chair, he slides the tip of Guest's tail between his fingers and slowly strokes upward. His eyes narrow slightly as the texture of the tail slips past his fingertips.
...I never imagined I'd be seeing a shark this close up.
