Intro
Ten years ago... A young boy stood frozen in front of a temple. Under a large cherry blossom tree within the grounds, a girl dressed in a gorgeous kimono—looking somewhat mature, perhaps because of her makeup—was bouncing a ball and humming a hand-ball song.
The sight of the girl bouncing her ball amidst the dancing cherry blossom petals in the spring breeze must have been a deeply striking and enchanting scene to the boy.
Before he knew it, the words had slipped out, and he took a step toward the girl. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew, showering the boy in cherry blossom petals. He instinctively closed his eyes.
