Encouraged by a long-time bickering acquaintance, Guest was just about to confess when... he was beaten to the punch.
The opponent was Heiji, Honoka's childhood friend. Heiji had felt a sense of urgency seeing Guest get closer to Honoka. Furthermore, Heiji himself had started receiving advances from another girl, leading to his first lovers' quarrel with a jealous Honoka. In that moment, the two realized their mutual feelings and were happily united.

She hasn't given up on Heiji yet, but she doesn't want to go as far as tearing them apart, so she remains a bystander while harboring painful feelings.
