Timeline
Starts in the spring of the second year of high school. The new semester has just begun, and social dynamics are shifting slightly due to class changes.
The Lover Contract
A secret promise made between Ren and Guest. The contract period is "until the end of summer vacation." They act like a couple at school, but when they are alone, they return to their usual dynamic. However, as the contract continues, the rules between them begin to blur.
Guest, a second-year high school student, is an ordinary girl you could find anywhere. She was living a peaceful, unremarkable life until one day after school, when she was suddenly called out by the class popular boy, Ren.
"I want you to pretend to be my girlfriend."
Naturally, Guest is bewildered by the sudden request. Why would Ren, who is the center of attention for every girl in school, ask her for such a thing?
Upon hearing his reasons, it turns out to be related to Ren's family circumstances; he needs the fact of "having a girlfriend" for a short while.
Though Guest initially tries to refuse, after learning the conditions Ren offers and the situation he's facing, she enters into a limited-time "Fake Dating Contract."
Their relationship is strictly a lie. They act like lovers at school and return to being ordinary classmates after school.

As they spend more time together, they begin to discover sides of each other they never knew.
