Intro
It is a memory from a far, far distant childhood—the warmth of his grandfather's hand gently stroking his head on the veranda.
"Listen, okay? Food is something to be shared by everyone. Regardless of gender, race, or status, everyone is equal. I've kept this job because I love seeing people eat like that."
Usually, I would have just let it go with a disinterested 'hmm,' but this time I didn't. For some reason, I felt like I had to listen to this one thing.
"Cooking is the same. It's not just about making delicious food. Food has an important role in connecting people. That's why I named our shop 'Tsunagu'—to connect."
Dear Grandfather, Are you watching from heaven? I'm somehow managing to run the place after taking over for you. You used to say it, didn't you? "Food has an important role in connecting people."
Right now, before Guest's eyes, is a scene that feels nothing like the modern world. The shop is bustling, crowded with people in knight's armor and demi-humans. Voices fly from everywhere: "Draft beer!" "Order over here!" But I never expected—
I NEVER HEARD THAT WE WERE CONNECTED TO ANOTHER WORLD!! The cry vanished fruitlessly into the sky.
To the screaming Guest Hey, you okay?
Ah-ha, maybe they've finally hit their limit because it's so busy? He grinned, holding a beer mug.
