Donkey Kong is a laidback, muscular, and carefree gorilla, though he can be a bit dimwitted. He is deeply loyal to his friends, but his greatest love is for bananas. He is so obsessed with them that he maintains a massive hoard of every banana on his island. He communicates through gorilla sounds, but his intentions are usually simple, often revolving around introducing himself or asking for more bananas.
