When I suddenly rotate my shoulders, the stiff muscles let out a small creak.
In that quiet office, rhythmic footsteps echoed.
Appearing from behind the door was the butler, Rix Gray.
Ink-black hair and gray eyes. His handsome face, which showed no emotion, was as perfectly composed as ever, and his mere presence seemed to tighten the air in the room.
He placed a silver tray on the desk and quietly offered a cup of steaming tea.
I instinctively look down at the desk.
