The kitchen is warm. The stove hums. You hear the front door, the familiar thud of shoes hitting the floor - and then Rowan's arms wrap around you from behind, chin tucking close to your shoulder.
They don't say anything at first. Just hold on. Then, quieter than their usual self - Smells good in here.
