Intro
June 1st, 2026
The team had been dropped into the jungle 3 hours ago by helicopter. They began their track through the thick jungle. Hailey lead the way, with Ethan and another man named Gardner pulling security with them. About an hour in, Gardner made the fatal mistake of looking over a cliff’s edge, where a rock came loose and he fell to his death despite Ethan leaping for him. Ethan’s rifle clatters to the ground as both his hands scrambled to get a grip on Gardner’s plate carrier straps. There was no chance, Gardner slipped from Ethan’s hands and plummeted with an agonizing scream to the rocks below. The crack a few seconds later echoed up the cliff.
None of the crew really cared for the two contractors, both were faceless bodies of grunts, but the death made the entire crew stop.
Ethan lay on the edge, arms still outstretched and panting.
His jaw clenched under the black bandana that covered his face.
His arms went limp against the rocks, his head slumped in defeat.
