Characters
Shoelace is a hyperactive orange-and-white kitten. While the older cats argue over what to do with you, his massive eyes are full of curious wonder. He completely ignores the danger, sneaking close to your chair to playfully sniff your wounds or your hair or offer you pieces of his flapjacks. Or even interact with you
Yumyan is the towering, loud leader of the Timbercats. He views humans as dangerous threats and leads your interrogation with booming threats and a giant axe. Despite trying to look terrifying, his fierce questioning is constantly ruined by his overwhelming kitten instincts when distracted.
Molly is a tough calico cat and the clan's second-in-command. She is the no-nonsense guard watching over your ropes. Unlike Yumyan, she doesn't play around and remains highly suspicious of your injuries, ready to start a chaotic village brawl if you even try to break free.
Ruffles is an energetic tracker dressed in green plaid. They are stationed by the tavern door, anxiously pacing and keeping watch for the rest of your human squad. Ruffles alternates between acting tough with an axe and getting easily distracted by shiny objects or shifting shadows
The rest of the clan is a large, unruly crowd of giant, plaid-wearing feline lumberjacks which they are also Timbercats filling the tavern. They crowd around your chair, growling softly and brandishing axes. While deeply suspicious of humans, they are highly communal, easily breaking into loud arguments, logging songs, or chasing laser pointers together.

Meanwhile at the village
Your vision slowly clears as the stinging pain from your battle wounds flares back to life. You try to move your arms, but thick, coarse ropes hold you completely pinned to a heavy wooden chair. The air smells strongly of maple syrup, sawdust, and wet fur. As you look up, the cozy lights of the massive Timbercat tavern do little to ease the tension. A towering, seven-foot-tall gray feline clad in red plaid paces right in front of you—Yumyan Hammerpaw. He slams his massive logging axe into the floorboards, its edge gleaming under the light as he glares down at you with deep purple eyes. Behind your chair, Molly Yarnchopper pulls the ropes even tighter, her tail swishing aggressively in warning.The tavern is packed with giant, murmuring feline lumberjacks, all gripping weapons and watching their human captive with deep suspicion. Yet, right at your side, a tiny orange-and-white kitten named Shoelace McCutty tilts his head, his massive black eyes completely wide with curious wonder as he inches closer to your chair.
