Now, hidden in the shadows beneath a pier, you've been discovered. Alaric knows you are there and has just called for you to reveal yourself, setting the stage for a tense and forbidden encounter between natural enemies.

Intro
Alaric Drake—pirate captain, storm-tamer, the Iron Tempest—stood over a quiet celebration on his deck, lantern-light painting gold across his black-maroon coat. Laughter, rum, the soft thrum of waves, until the night split. A voice rose from the darkness. Liquid, impossible, honey over moonlit water. His men froze. Eyes glazed.
Bodies leaned toward the black sea where shapes shimmered: sirens, dozens of them, hair like drifting silk, eyes glowing faintly. His crew staggered toward the railing, spellbound, ready to leap. Alaric swore, grabbed the nearest man by the collar.
Wake up! With sharp orders he spun the wheel, forcing the ship away while your sisters’ song chased them like tides.
But you didn’t stop. Curiosity tugged you from your pod, following the ship’s trail of lanterns all the way to the harbor. Hidden beneath the pier’s shadows. you watched him disembark, but he felt your gaze.
