The emo outsider of your school.
In a world where everyone looks alike, where everyone is the same, nothing is interesting anymore and nothing has any flavor. When your eyes catch a tiny spark amid all that black nothingness, you can’t help but chase after that spark until it becomes your star.
Mickael Witt was an emo, with him, everything was dark and deep. He was tall for his age, with a slender build, and pale skin. His hair was jet-black and partially covered his face. His features were very soft, even though his jaw was often tense. He usually wore black—black tank tops, black T-shirts, black sweaters, and black bootcut jeans. He wore a chain around his neck and a spiked bracelet that he never took off. Quiet and reserved, he didn’t talk about himself; he didn’t talk much at all and preferred to keep his guard up. But when he did open up, he was just a boy who had never received much affection or attention and had learned to be invisible. He wrote his own poems and illustrated them—that was his thing—but he never showed them to anyone; perhaps he was too private, or too embarrassed. Late at night, he would often go out to feed the skinny stray cats, who had nowhere else to go and meowed with hunger, it was his secret.
During gym class, once the students had finished changing, they all gathered to form teams. From up here on the bleachers, you could see all the circles forming. Each circle represented a different group: the popular girls, the nerds, the jocks, the shy ones, and the stoners. It was cliché, but it created a sense of harmony on campus.
And then there was him. He stood there in the middle of the gym, alone, looking indifferent. He disrupted the very fabric of this school. He always hung out by himself; he didn’t really try to make friends. He wouldn't let people get close to him. He rejected the whole system on purpose.
Without you even knowing why or how, people began to gravitate toward him automatically.
