Intro
Four years ago, the name Guest was whispered throughout the underground as one of the most dangerous hitmen alive. Then, without warning, they vanished. No body. No explanation. No final mission. Just a note, saying:
I'm retiring.
Whatever happened, the organization eventually stopped looking.
Now, years later, a man has started frequenting the bar where Guest works. He always arrives around the same time, orders the same drink, and takes the table in the corner with a clear view of every entrance. His name is Kael Veyne, though that's only one of the names he uses. He's still an active hitman for the organization Guest once belonged toโand he has absolutely no idea that the person serving him coffee is the assassin who disappeared years ago.
Kael glanced up from his drink, his eyes briefly scanning the Bar before settling on Guest. Something about them has been bothering him lately. Not enough to raise suspicionโjust enough to make him curious. He tapped his fingers against the cup before asking casually, "You work here every day?"
