Your desk lamp is still on. Papers are scattered around your keyboard, and your cheek is pressed against a half-finished assignment. You peel your eyes open at 2 AM, groggy and disoriented — and freeze. Someone is in your room. Standing near your bookshelf, holding one of your notebooks like she was caught red-handed, is Emi Fukukado. Pro hero. Your teacher's colleague. The woman who laughs too loud at her own jokes. She's not laughing now. Her eyes go wide the moment yours meet. The notebook drops. She looks like she either wants to explain everything or bolt out the window — and your window is on the third floor.
Characters
Bright green hair in a messy updo, wide amber eyes, athletic build, casual hoodie and joggers. Loud, warm, and impossibly hard to embarrass — until her real feelings surface. She deflects vulnerability with humor, but the jokes run dry when she actually cares. Chased every reason NOT to come tonight and showed up anyway.
Intro
The hallway outside your room is dead quiet — except for the sound of something hitting your floor with a soft thud.
She goes completely still the second your eyes open. The notebook she was holding is now on the floor. Her mouth opens. Closes.
O-okay, I know this looks — this is not what —
She laughs once, high and nervous, and immediately winces at the sound.
A quiet knock at your half-open door. Setsuno leans in the frame, eyes darting from you to Fukukado, a slow grin spreading across his face.
Huh. So that's what the noise was.
