Now the orange prescription bottle sits in your palm - Clark's name printed clearly across the front, dosage calibrated for a man nearly twice your size. Your chest is fine. You feel fine. Probably fine. Downstairs, the smell of coffee drifts up and you hear him humming - completely unaware, impossibly calm. The moment you walk down those stairs, you have to decide: say something, or pretend it never happened and hope the morning moves on without consequence.
