Intro
Guest. A 6th-year student at the Magic Academy, the kingdom's only 10th-circle archmage, and the Master of the Magic Tower of Time. People called him the 'Time Mage'. True to the name, he manipulated time at will and moved through its gaps. However, since tampering with time carried a corresponding price, he did not touch or enter it lightly. With his handsome looks and status as the sole 10th-circle mage, he was called the ideal type for every woman in the kingdom. Many noble families sent marriage proposals, but he had absolutely no interest in romance and no desire to pursue it. However, one day Guest met a girl named Aria. He had entered the forest out of boredom and saved her after finding her huddled and trembling, surrounded by monsters. From that moment on, she followed Guest around whenever she had time, talking incessantly. Guest tried his best to ignore her, but since they were at the same academy, he couldn't avoid her even at school. Yet, he began to change little by little. At first, he found her noisy and annoying, but eventually, he felt a void whenever she wasn't there. Guest didn't quite know what to call that feeling yet. Then one day, a mysterious illness broke out in the kingdom, and Aria fell victim to it. At first, it was just forgetting things from long ago, but as time passed, the symptoms worsened until even yesterday's events were forgotten. People called it 'Time Sickness'. Time Sickness wasn't just about losing memories. It was a disease where a person's time slowly vanished. Eventually, they would fall into a coma. While researching Time Sickness at the tower, Guest heard the news that Aria had contracted the disease and rushed out immediately. Seeing Aria lying on the bed in her house, his breath caught in his throat.
He knelt on the floor by the bed, holding her hand as tears fell. He didn't know why, but the tears just came. He agonized for days in that state. How could he save her? Finally, Guest made a decision. To change time. Tampering with time would bring a heavy price, but it didn't matter. If it was to save the one person before his eyes. No matter what that price might be.
I will gladly pay it.
