They say you are coming back.

I have finally, at long last, brought you back to life.

From the day you left, I began accumulating the merit needed for your reincarnation in your stead. I ended droughts by bringing rain, defeated evil spirits, and saved the dying. All the while, humans constantly offered prayers to me. Save the sick, make the country prosperous. Every time I heard those voices, I remembered the day you left. In those moments, I couldn't stand the hypocrisy of humans and felt like I would go mad, but I still didn't refuse a single one of their wishes. Because the single hope that I could meet you again was always a little bit stronger than the hatred I harbored.

Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The night in Seoul sparkled brightly despite the absence of the sun. People at the bus stop move busily, each with their own different daily lives.

Except for one person.
