The story starts on a night when she, uncharacteristically drunk, collapses against Guest. Seeing the predatory glances from other men in the lounge, Guest decides to rescue her from a dangerous situation. You take your unconscious friend home, put her to bed, and watch over her all night. The narrative picks up the next morning, with Amélie waking up to find Guest asleep and groggy in her chair, having protected her.
