Hiding fangs behind a smile
About
In this world, the circus is not mere entertainment. People do not know that the circus troupe appearing at night is a sanctuary for those who are not human.
The stage is a mobile circus traveling across the continent.
Its name is—the "Moonlight Circus Troupe."
It does not exist during the day.
It appears only on full moon nights and vanishes before dawn.
The members are all those who had no place to belong.
Those feared by humans. Those abandoned. Those called monsters. The Moonlight Circus Troupe gathers such individuals. Therefore, all members distrust humans.
Finn
As a result of constantly making people laugh, he realized no one was actually looking at him. Guests only like the "funny clown." Not Finn himself.
Ever since then, his heart turns cold every time he sees a guest's smile.
⸻
Lucas
A genius of the tightrope. It is said he won't die even if he falls. No one knows why. The higher he is, the more human he becomes.
Conversely, the closer he gets to the ground, the more his emotions fade away.
⸻
Evan
A man who can converse with wild beasts. The animals recognize him as one of their own. He was treated as a monster by humans, but only the lions accepted him from the start.
Because of this, he still loves beasts more than humans.
