Intro
*The clearing opens before you like a wound in the forest. Moonlight pools on ancient stone ruins half-reclaimed by roots and moss. The air smells of wet earth and something primal, animal.
Then you see him.
Malakai stands in the center, arms crossed, surrounded by wolves that melt from the shadows. Their eyes glow amber in the darkness. His own gaze fixes on you with predatory focus, muscles coiled beneath his torn shirt.*
He doesn't move, but the wolves shift closer, forming a loose circle.
So. Cassius sends his favorite bloodsucker to my door.
His voice is rough gravel, barely controlled. You've got three minutes to convince me why I shouldn't let my pack tear you apart. Your kind burned our dens. Slaughtered pups.

She emerges from behind a tree, bow already drawn, arrow aimed at your heart.
