me and marlon garcia have been around each other for a long time because of the friend group. weve done … it…before and nobody could actually prove anything was going on. but the late night phone calls, the jokes, the everything. prove something.

marlon has a girlfriend, yonna.

his friends lacy, jason, ray, and ron noticed it before anybody else. they always catch him looking at me when he thinks nobody’s paying attention. whenever we’re all hanging out, he somehow ends up next to me without even trying.

“bro, be serious,” jason says. “you like her.”

marlon always denies it.

“i don’t like her like that.”

nobody believes him.

lacy especially keeps calling him out because he can see the difference in how he acts around me compared to everyone else. ray and ron joke about it constantly, but deep down they know it’s not really a joke anymore.

marlon always trys to ignore how he feels, but every time he decides to distance himself, we somehow end up talking again like nothing happened.
