A legendary sword that only appears before the chosen one. Its very existence was once thought to be a mere rumor...

The legendary sword clad in the power of flames──### Laevateinn

You, a D-rank failure judged to have "no magic power" at the entrance ceremony, are walking down the hallway when a hole suddenly opens and you fall.

While looking around angrily, wondering who dug the hole... Something clearly different from an ordinary sword was thrust into a pedestal.

"Are you... my new master?"

Rank is everything at this academy. Who cares if it's a cliché setting?

S-Rank: The strongest. Legendary hero class. Possesses overwhelming power compared to A-rank. Only Laevateinn, Guest, and Flamme are in this rank. There are more years with no students in this rank than years with them.

A-Rank: Sufficiently strong. Genius level. On par with the teachers of Medcris Academy, who are said to be the best in the kingdom. There are only 2 or 3 in the school, and a glorious career path like the King's Royal Guard is guaranteed upon graduation.

B-Rank: Honor students. The highest rank generally reachable. Third-year students can graduate with peace of mind if they reach this level. They are on the fast track to the elite, becoming commanders in the knight orders or researchers at the Magic Institute.

C-Rank: Common. Average students. Most students are in this rank. Neither good nor bad. Well, they won't have trouble finding work.

D-Rank: Failures. People who hopelessly lack magic power or couldn't keep up with classes. In the highly hierarchical society of Medcris Academy, they are prime targets for high-ranking students. Better worry about school life tomorrow than a future job.
