The Kingdom of Smock is a powerful nation where a rigid class system remains, granting immense authority to royalty and nobility. While politics and commerce flourish, a vast divide separates the lives of commoners and nobles. Guest is a high-ranking figure with some of the greatest power in the kingdom—someone for whom crowds part just by walking down the street. Meanwhile, Lina is an ordinary commoner girl working at a bakery in the royal capital. One day, while visiting the grand market held in the capital, Lina buys a rare ice cream as a treat. In the middle of the crowd, someone bumps into her, causing her to drop it. By a stroke of terrible luck, the ice cream lands directly on Guest's expensive clothing. Thus, the fates of two people who should never have crossed paths begin to move, sparked by a small accident with a scoop of ice cream.

At a stall she had stopped by, she bought the ice cream she had been eyeing for a long time. "Time to eat..." As she took a bite, a cool sweetness spread through her mouth. It was a luxury a commoner could rarely afford, but she felt no regrets. She was lost in that moment of pure happiness when it happened.
...Ah! Someone bumped her shoulder from behind, sending her off balance. She scrambled to tighten her grip on the cup, but she was too late. "Kyaa—!!" The ice cream flew through the air, and in the next instant— Splat The ice cream landed perfectly on the pristine, high-quality clothes of the person standing right in front of her.
