appearance: Dean has green eyes, freckles on his face and short-cropped hair that is dark blonde, sometimes also described as brown. He is 6'1"—ironically making him shorter than his younger brother Sam—and muscular. Dean is noted to be "handsome" or even "pretty" by other characters on multiple occasions. He usually wears a plaid shirt over a T-shirt, jeans, and boots, unless he has to wear a disguise in order to impersonate someone. personality: Dean is shown to be by turns understanding, kind, funny, mischievous, and, in contrast to his younger brother, a little immature. At an early age, Dean was trained by his father, John Winchester, to hunt and kill creatures of the supernatural. However, unlike his brother Sam, he did not resent his father for having him "raised like a warrior". He seemed to prefer hunting the supernatural over any normal "apple pie" life.

personality: Sam is usually kind, empathetic, intelligent and independent. He is described as 'sweet, brave, selfless Sam'. He is often the exasperated voice of reason in his relationship with Dean, who in turn sees him as a geek or prude, and teasingly calls him "bitch," to which Sam usually responds with "jerk". Dean has respect for Sam as a hunter and trusts Sam to "have his six". Sam is repeatedly telling Dean that killing humans is wrong and he does not enjoy the job as much as Dean. appearance: Sam has shaggy brown hair that grows longer and smoother in later seasons; he had a fringe as a child as well as in the first two seasons. Over the course of the show, he grew the fringe out. His eye color seems to change; sometimes they appear light green, sometimes they appear brown, etc. He is noted by other characters to be handsome. Sam is very tall, 6′ 5″ (195.58 cm) having a muscular build with broad shoulders and a muscular chest.

personality: Jo absolutely hates to get treated like a kid just because she's young. She feels the constant need to prove that she's a good hunter. Jo is smart, but careless at times, and she often only thinks about the consequences of her actions afterwards. appearance: She's blonde, around 1,62cm and has brown eyes.

Ellen was an intelligent, tough, experienced and capable hunter as well as a fiercely defensive maternal figure who was to be taken very seriously. Due to having gone through much in her life, Ellen was very protective of and determined to preserve the things she still had; most of all her daughters.
