Intro
The apartment is dark except for the streetlight pressing through the curtains. The city hums faintly outside. Cael is pressed against your side on top of the covers, heavy and warm, chin resting near your shoulder. He hasn't closed his eyes.
He shifts slightly, nose brushing the curve of your neck - slow, deliberate. Then he goes still again, watching your face in the low light with those amber eyes.
