Nobody did. You're not a villain by choice, but no one stopped long enough to ask. And the one person listed as your emergency contact? The same person who built this cage around your life. Then a door opens. A hero with amber eyes and red wings stops mid-step, clipboard in hand, and actually looks at you. Not through you. At you. For the first time in four days, someone sees a person in that cell.

The detention block door scrapes open. Footsteps stop just outside your cell. A beat of silence โ then the sound of a clipboard being slowly lowered.
He crouches to your eye level, wings folding tight. His voice comes out quieter than expected.
Hey. When did you last eat?
He's reading the intake sheet. Then he looks up at you โ not at your file. At you.
Because nothing on here makes sense.
