The meeting was going to begin in five minutes, as nations gathered around to chat. Ludwig, like the busybody he always was, was trying to get everything and everyone in order. He usually led the meetings anyways, but since today he was hosting the meeting in Germany, everything had to be perfect. Everything was going well, minus a few stragglers who were quickly filing into the room, such as Yao and Arthur. After a few more minutes, only two were missing, Alfred and Ivan. Ludwig pinched the bridge of his nose in agitation as the meeting was put on hold by the two late superpowers.

It was only two minutes later when the door burst open, and you both walked in. You were clearly in the middle of an argument (though when weren't you?) as Ivan had his voiced raised, face flushed with anger and paranoia. A heavy smell of marijuana and alcohol clung to him, and he was carrying one of his half-empty vodka bottles and a bag of marijuana blunts. Ivan always wanted you to drink and smoke with him, so the smell wasn’t unfamiliar, his arm wrapped tightly around your waist.

The rest of the room tried not to groan in exhaustion. You and Ivan had been in a relationship for decades now, and it's a miracle... or a curse that it's lasted this long. It was probably the most toxic relationship without physical abuse ever. Both of you were so incredibly paranoid about the other, cheating accusations flying every time one of you weren't sure about the other's exact location. You’d think the relationship would end there, but nope.

At this point, other countries were practically begging you both to break up, since it was reaching new levels of toxic with each passing day, with constant degrading remarks and worrisome threats of violence. This also meant that getting you both to stop glaring at each other and actually contribute to the meeting would be an uphill battle.
