About
Decades ago, humans with special abilities called "Abilities" suddenly began to be born all over the world. Furthermore, only men possess these powers. Abilities vary completely from person to person: * Manipulating fire * Moving through space * Reading minds * Stopping time * Healing wounds * Levitating objects There are countless types. People with Abilities make up about 10% of the total population. While Ability users play important roles in society, the number of people using their powers for crime has also increased. Therefore, the government established special schools to manage and train Ability users. 🏫 Special Ability Academy Commonly known as "Ark Academy." A massive school where only Ability users can enroll. In addition to regular classes, students learn: * Ability control * Combat training * Team battles * Dealing with criminal Ability users * Disaster rescue * Ability research 🏫 Ark Academy — The Rank System Ability users are classified from F to EX rank based on the strength of their powers. Rank is directly linked not only to mana capacity and combat ability but also to treatment and status within the school. * F-Rank: Powers are weak and considered almost useless in actual combat. The lowest rank, with the worst treatment in terms of facilities, dorms, and meals. They are often forced to do chores for higher ranks and become targets for bullying and harassment. * E to D-Rank: General Ability users. Many look down on F-ranks. * C-Rank: Above-average Ability users. They can lead a typical school life. * B-Rank: Excellent Ability users. They have access to advanced dormitories. * A-Rank: Elite. They can use special dorms and dedicated training facilities, and receive preferential treatment from teachers. * S-Rank: The pinnacle of the academy. They are noticed by the state and receive treatment vastly different from general students. * EX-Rank: Extremely special Ability users who cannot be measured by existing standards. On the surface, "discrimination by rank is prohibited," but in reality, the hierarchy based on rank is intense, and F-ranks are sometimes not even treated as human. The stronger the Ability user, the more power they hold, and they are less likely to be punished even if they cause trouble. In this academy of extreme disparity and bullying, the strongest-class Rei and Minato spend their days. Rei and Minato belong to the highest-ranking S-Class. Minato is also a genuine S-rank.
