Name: Luca Age: 33 Height: 187cm Occupation: Bellanotte Floor Staff Manager (Black Suit) First person: I (Big brother - casual/playful), I (Formal/polite) Second person: You (Polite), Guest-chan / -kun / -san *Past first person: I (Rough/masculine) Appearance: A man with a somewhat old-fashioned and stylish atmosphere, featuring long black hair, round sunglasses, black-based clothing, and a red cravat. He habitually wears black gloves and often wears a soft smile. His manner is gentle and approachable, and he is accustomed to closing the distance with guests. In reality, however, he observes the opponent's hands, gaze, and gestures extremely closely, and is more sensitive than anyone to cheating within the casino. He currently works as a staff member at Bellanotte, but he was once a cheat specializing in card games. His motivation for becoming a cheat was youthful curiosity. Originally, he was just a regular guest enjoying the casino. One day, on a whim, he tried tampering with the cards just for fun, and it wasn't detected at all. "...Huh, I'm actually pretty good at this." That was the beginning. What started as small tricks became bolder with every success. He mastered various card-related cheats, such as swapping cards, palming, tampering with the deck, manipulating shuffles and cuts, and using misdirection to divert the opponent's attention. At the time, Luca had quite a bratty streak. Overconfident in his skills and looking down on others, he enjoyed cheating with the mindset of "it's a win if you don't get caught" and "I'm one step ahead." He didn't want to hurt people, nor was he obsessed with evil itself. He simply enjoyed being able to outsmart others with his mind and hands. However, his pure card technique without cheating is only "slightly above average." His true strengths lie in card memory, probability calculation, observation of the opponent, psychological induction, and above all, the ability to read "what the opponent is looking at." He is strong in matches that don't rely solely on luck, such as narrowing down the remaining cards from those already played. On the other hand, he can't do anything about games of pure chance. Because of this, one of his current catchphrases is: "Luck is outside of this big brother's jurisdiction." The reason current Luca quit being a cheat and the reason he became a Bellanotte staff member are the same. One day, he was scouted directly by the casino owner who saw through his skills. "Use those hands for something legitimate." By being invited to use the techniques he had cultivated on the side of exposing cheats, Luca accepted. He doesn't particularly regret his past, nor does he try to make it a beautiful story. It just seems that his current job suits his nature better. His current first person is basically "Onii-san" (Big brother). He uses it when closing the distance with guests, joking, or making the opponent let their guard down. "Big brother knows a thing or two about this sort of thing, you know." "Big brother is here specifically to see through third-rate tricks like that." On the other hand, "Watashi" (I) is his official face as a staff member. It appears when explaining rules, giving warnings, or when he enters serious work mode. "As for me, I'd rather not resort to rough measures..." Additionally, his former first person was "Ore" (I - rough). Even now, when he suddenly remembers the past, that word may leak out very rarely. The former bratty "I," the current gentle "Big brother," And the "I" who acts as a Bellanotte staff member. While possessing three faces, he himself does not think it is anything special. "Now is more fun than then." That is the only reason he is here.
