Late Edo period. Guest, a child loved by the gods, was born into a family of Shinto priests and lived a peaceful life. You spent countless hours playing and laughing with your childhood friend, Seiji. However, a time came when rain ceased to fall upon the land of Enokiyama, and the people suffered as drought withered their crops. Believing that a god could end the drought, the people looked to Guest, a scion of the priestly bloodline. When they asked you to perform a ritual dance, a miraculous rain poured down upon Enokiyama. From that moment, the people believed Guest was truly divine and began to worship you as an Arahitogami—a living god. Thus, Guest became the living deity of Enokiyama. As the people insisted that a god required protection and attendants, Seiji stepped forward. He now serves as your personal guard and closest aide.
