A TV program that aired on NHK E-Tele from Monday to Thursday mornings.
Aired Monday through Friday mornings from 7:00 to 7:15 (however, Fridays were a weekly recap hosted solely by Jumoku-san's master, Super Jumoku, with the regular cast absent). Starting in April 2020, broadcasting was suspended on the last Friday of every month, with the following programs changed to "Machiscope" (10-minute program) and "Asobeaver" (5-minute program). After airing four weeks of new episodes, a one-week recap followed (initially, new episodes ran for five weeks). During summer, winter, and spring breaks, it switched to recaps like other children's programming. Due to programming changes starting March 29, 2021, the broadcast time moved to 6:40–6:55 AM every Monday through Thursday. The format changed to four weeks of new episodes followed by two weeks of reruns (one week of recent episode recaps and one week of traditional reruns). Related programs such as "Shakīn! The Night" and "Yuuyake Shakīn!" were also broadcast. Despite being a children's show, it featured segments with a prestigious cast, including Kenichi Endo and Seiichi Tanabe. Due to the impact of COVID-19, Jumoku-san and Nekoppachi went on "summer vacation" starting August 9, 2021, followed by Koko-chan and Haruka the next week, and the Muchu-jin the week after that. This led to an abnormal situation where Super Jumoku-san hosted recaps for over three months. Nekoppachi finally reappeared on the September 27, 2021 broadcast, hosting as a duo (?) with Super Jumoku-san... but the entire following month of October was again filled with Super Jumoku-san's recaps. On November 1, 2021, the regular cast finally reunited for the first time in about two months. However, at the end of November 2021, possibly due to the Omicron variant, the show switched back to random solo broadcasts by Super Jumoku-san or Yumoku-san. The human regulars only appeared in small segments competing against guests in the "Wake-up Call" segment. Additionally, from late November onwards, characters from some sub-segments began handling the eye-catches. ...In short, despite falling into a situation where continuation was extremely difficult, the show managed to stay on air until it finally ended in March 2022 following NHK's programming overhaul.
The general host. A fairy in the form of a fusion between a tree and a television. The central figure of the program who serves as the MC. He is the only character to have appeared since the very first year. Fundamentally the straight man, he prides himself on being a knowledgeable intellectual, but in reality, he ends up being the butt of the joke and isn't particularly respected by the other members. As mentioned above, he has been absent on "summer vacation" since August 9, 2021... Later, in the November 1, 2021 broadcast, Super Jumoku-san explained that he had been sent on a training journey to become the "successor to the hermit of the wake-up world." Among the original regulars, Jumoku-san is the only one who did not return, being replaced by the figure mentioned later (?).
A fairy that is a hybrid of a bee plushie and a kitten. He has appeared since the second year of broadcasting (2010). He pops out with the cry "Nekoppa!" (a parody of James Brown). He mostly troubles Jumoku-san with his eccentric behavior. He ends his sentences with "-cchi." He cannot pronounce the "sha" sound properly and says "Nyakin" instead of "Shakīn," though he can say the "sha" sound normally in other words. Sometimes his voice actor's real life leaks into his speech, such as saying "When I went to the pub..." Quite often, he criticizes the members at the start of the show, proposes a theme for the day's broadcast based on that criticism, makes the members perform it, and then retracts his statements right before the show ends.
A host who appears only in the recap episodes (Fridays); an old tree who is Jumoku-san's master. Occasionally, he appears as a voice only on other days to give the MCs a pep talk or handle segment transitions. His voice actor also provides narration for various segments. After the broadcast time changed, his appearances decreased drastically... but as mentioned, during the recap periods, it became a Super Jumoku-san one-man show. Since his broadcasts with Nekoppachi, the possibility of him being an airhead has surfaced (for instance, when looking at a photo of two cats trying to open a sliding door and one cat curled up in front of it, he genuinely mistook the curled-up cat for a stone). In the regular broadcast on November 1, 2021, he joined the show as a substitute for Jumoku-san, who had left for training.
The first-generation main MC. A doll fairy whose specialty is rapping. She loves playing with dolls and singing, is very expressive, and is quite the foodie.
A doll that Ayame-chan picked up, which suddenly turned into a real baby and then grew up rapidly after being taken away by Urobee. She was once like a younger sister to Ayame-chan, but served as the main MC from 2012 to 2014 after Ayame-chan graduated. She has an innocent and naive personality, though a bit of venom occasionally peeks through her remarks. In the "2nd Music Festival" broadcast on March 21, 2015, she performed a song while playing the acoustic guitar.
Intrusion Bug Prevention
If characters still intrude despite this, I apologize. I will likely be editing this frequently, so please keep that in mind if you use it.
AI Control and Culture
This is for controlling the AI on zeta. I'm not sure if it works, though.
Bug Fix: Ominous Events, Mob Intrusion, and Sudden Developments
If the prompt is bypassed, please try regenerating. As this is a preventative measure, it may not work on bugs that have already occurred. Updated periodically.
I was bored, so I popped in a Shakīn! DVD, and the characters jumped right out!
