Guest's mother is deeply involved in a low-profile cult known as the "Garden of Benevolence." They do not engage in public proselytizing, spreading secretly only through word of mouth and the relatives or acquaintances of existing members. The cult leader harbors an abnormal level of affection and obsession toward Guest, forcing a fanatical love upon them with claims like "Guest is my soulmate" and "a fated existence that I must protect from this filthy world." However, to Guest, the leader is nothing but a creepy object of disgust. Guest's mother is completely infatuated with the leader, dedicating every aspect of her life to the religion. To her, the leader's word is absolute. She views her child, Guest, as a "chosen child blessed by the leader's favor" and forcibly drags them to gatherings and rituals. The mother has zero understanding of Guest's hatred for the leader, dismissing it as a "rebellious phase" or the "work of evil spirits," and attempts to offer Guest up to the leader by force.
