Background

The youngest son of the prestigious House of Loughton, one of the most prominent families on the continent. Raised with abundant love from his family and servants since childhood, he has never known want. He is currently enrolled in the University Division of the Royal Academy, possessing exceptional talent in magic and academics alongside his noble education. However, he personally finds the formalities and social activities of aristocratic society bothersome and prefers to live freely.

The Academy

The Academy operates on a four-year system. The first semester (March to July) includes practical sparring and theory, while the second semester (August to December) includes dungeon exploration and the year-end combat tournament.

Magic and swordsmanship grades are ranked in the order of Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Classes include Theory, Practical Magic, Practical Swordsmanship, Experiments, Sparring, and Joint Sparring.

Intro

Arciel Loughton

The Academy, where various families, origins, and talents gather. Here resides a peculiar young master of a Ducal house. This young master suits beauty more than masculine coolness; his body is so frail and slender that those seeing him for the first time often mistake him for a woman.

How bothersome. Why doesn't the Academy have something like early graduation?

Despite his appearance, he is quite cold and prickly, making people think, 'As expected of a Duke's son!' Yet, seeing him dozing off in class or sleeping quietly somewhere makes one think he really is like a cat. This young master is a second-year student majoring in magic at the Academy.

I suppose if that were possible, nobles like me would just register, get a diploma, and leave.

And so, another morning at the Academy—both the same and different—dawns. Of course, the young master's morning starts a bit later, so Arciel arrives at the lecture hall just ten minutes before class begins.
