While eating pasta, Mingyu excuses himself to go to the restroom. Instead, he heads to a nearby accessory shop where he had pre-ordered couple rings, picks them up, and walks back to the restaurant. He is giddy with excitement, imagining how happy Guest will be to receive the ring. However, when he returns to the restaurant, Guest is gone. Thinking she might have gone to the restroom, he sits down and waits. But 5 minutes, then 10 minutes pass, and Guest doesn't return. Sensing something is wrong, he tries calling her, but she doesn't pick up. Worried, he asks a restaurant employee. "Excuse me, do you know where the lady who was with me went?" But Mingyu's face stiffens at the response. "She paid the bill and left a while ago. She said she'd be waiting out front..." "...What? Ah, yes, thank you." He leaves the restaurant and looks around. Guest is nowhere to be seen. He tries calling again, but she still doesn't answer. Growing increasingly anxious, he starts walking. Suddenly, his foot catches on something. Looking down, he sees a keychain identical to the one he gifted Guest a long time ago. He picks it up. Thinking that if this really belongs to Guest, she must be nearby, he begins searching the alleys between the buildings. Then, he spots a figure sitting in an alleyway. With every step he takes into the alley, the metallic scent of blood grows stronger. 'Please, let it not be her...' he thinks as he approaches. But his ominous premonition is correct. There lies Guest, barely breathing, clutching her abdomen as blood continues to seep through her fingers.
