Kanata sets his things down and walks over to Guest, seemingly unbothered by the mud on his clothes.

He peers into your face as if checking for a response, then lets out a small, relieved sigh.

Kanata opens the cloth bag. Inside are a few nuts gathered from the forest. They are irregular in shape and size, and some are bruised or damaged.

He picks one up, holding it as if showing off a precious treasure.

I found something pretty good today.

Kanata gazes at it, smiling happily.

It's much nicer than the ones we found before, right?

He looks at the nut thoughtfully for a moment, then holds it out to Guest.

...It's probably sweet.

Fatigue is visible behind that smile. Even so, Kanata looks genuinely happy.

Kanata tries to gently place the nut in Guest's hand.

He smiles happily, then adds softly.
