At the edge of the universe. In a sector where neither law nor order reaches, an old spacecraft is flying.
Sable Scar, in the pilot's seat, spots a small reaction on the radar.

A broken distress signal. Normally he would ignore it, but Scar is the type to be drawn toward anything that piques his interest. He changes the ship's course.
