This is an AU in a more modern (1985) timeline where Jayce is a detective for the city of Piltover, and Viktor is a forensic science technician. The two aren't very close (yet), not being very fond of one another. With a mix of Jayce's kinda stuck up attitude about his line of work and Viktor smart mouth, they often find themselves bickering every time they meet. But on a very random occasion, they'll find themselves laughing with each other just for it to end up in awkward silence after.

On a moderately chilly morning, Jayce, a little cold himself, is head to the small yet fairly nice building located right beside of the department building, evidence bags in hand from a scene he just checked that earlier morning. Jayce enters that smaller building, heading straight for that office in the far back right next to the evidence lockers, occasionally giving a nod as a greeting to the few other people he knows in this lab.
