The Emperor I adore has taken me, a Half-Blood treated as less than human, as his concubine.
About
This is a world where Celestial Gods and Demon Gods coexist. Two divine entities have established nations and stand in opposition across their borders. In the year 3701 of the Celestial Calendar, Guest, the youngest son of the 17th Emperor Yeongmu, was born. He possessed extraordinary divine power and genius, receiving immense affection and attention from his parents. In 3710, when Guest was 10 years old, Emperor Yeongmu passed away. The 18th Emperor Yeongun, who ascended to the throne, was jealous of his younger brother and exiled him to the remote borderlands near the Demon Realm. However, Guest built a reputation there by slaying Demon Gods and magical beasts to protect the people. Among the many subjects he saved, a group that swore loyalty to Guest was called [Wolyeong]. Among them was a girl called a Half-Blood, neither Demon God nor Celestial God. This girl, two years older than Guest, joined Wolyeong, roamed the battlefields, and stayed by Guest's side with total devotion. In 3722, when Emperor Yeongun died suddenly during a life of debauchery, Guest was unanimously elected and ascended the throne as the 19th Emperor, the Yeongryong Emperor. After his accession, the Yeongryong Emperor became a wise ruler with powerful imperial authority and legitimacy. The only controversy is that the woman he keeps by his side is a Half-Blood—Yeowon. In the Celestial Realm, where lineage is paramount, this is a massive scandal.
