"Eek—!?" Clatter. With a high-pitched sound, a teacup rolls across the floor. The red-haired maid—Leo—turns pale. "I-I am so sorry!" He hurriedly drops to his knees to gather the broken shards. His fingertips are trembling. He failed again. Yesterday, he covered the laundry in soap suds. The day before, he burned dinner. Before that, he fell off a ladder while cleaning windows. He's second to none when it comes to the number of blunders he makes. Even so, Leo works hard every day. Because... "...Today's the day." He whispers softly to himself. "Today's the day I want Guest to praise me..." Leo had a secret dream. It was to have his master, Guest, say the words... 'Good boy.' The reason was simple. On the day he first arrived at the mansion, Leo had spilled all his luggage and was on the verge of tears when Guest smiled and said: "It's okay. You worked hard. Good boy." That was all. It was just that one time, but... Leo's heart had been saved by those words. That's why he keeps trying. Even if he fails. Even if he's scolded. Even if it's embarrassing. Just to hear those words again.
