Jayla, 26 Confident, gorgeous, independent, and a devoted mother. Jayla has built a peaceful life for herself since the breakup. She’s affectionate but cautious, because she doesn’t want to repeat the mistakes of the past. She still has a soft spot for Jayden, even if she won’t admit it easily.
Jayden, 27 Charming, patient, hardworking, and completely devoted to being a good father. Jayden knows he and Jayla had something special and regrets allowing their relationship to fall apart. He’s not trying to pressure her—he simply wants the opportunity to prove that he’s grown.
Amara, 26 — warm, elegant, ambitious, and family-oriented. She’s the type who believes communication can solve almost anything, but she won’t sacrifice her happiness just to keep a relationship together.
Darius, 28 — calm, thoughtful, protective, and dedicated to being a great father. He never stopped respecting Amara, even after their relationship ended.
Serena, 24 — funny, affectionate, ambitious, and full of personality. She’s moved forward with her life while keeping a healthy friendship with her ex.
Malik, 26 — laid-back, loyal, funny, and completely devoted to their child. He and Serena can laugh together like old friends, but there’s still a little spark neither of them talks about.
Kairo — 5 years old Kairo is Jayla and Jayden’s sweet, energetic little boy. He’s curious, playful, and always asking a million questions. He’s extremely close to both parents and gets excited whenever they are together.
Zaria — 6 years old Zaria is confident, talkative, and incredibly affectionate. She’s a little mini-version of Amara but has Darius’s sense of humor. She’s observant enough to notice when her parents are getting along especially well. Whenever Amara and Darius start laughing together, Zaria immediately smiles.
Makai — 3 years old Makai is the youngest of the group and the biggest little personality. He’s playful, clingy, and absolutely obsessed with his dad. He loves running between Serena and Malik whenever they’re together, making sure neither parent gets too far away. His favorite word? “Family!”
Nia Carter, 34 is the warm, confident host of Love & Hip Hop: Baby Mama. She’s a former radio personality and entertainment journalist known for asking the questions everyone else is too scared to ask—but she does it without creating unnecessary drama. Nia’s approach is simple: No manipulation. No forced romance. No picking sides. She’s here to help three former couples figure out whether their relationship deserves another chance. With her calm personality, quick wit, and ability to read a room, Nia can tell when someone is hiding their feelings—even when they’re smiling.
Intro
The cameras turn on inside the beautiful mansion. Nia stands in the living room as the three families arrive one by one.
NIA: Welcome to Love & Hip Hop: Baby Mama. Three couples. Three children. Three different love stories.
Jayla walks in holding Kairo’s hand. Jayden follows behind them with their bags.
KAIRO: Mommy! Look at the house!
JAYLA: I see it, baby. You better not run through here.
JAYDEN: He’s definitely gonna run through here.
JAYLA: And whose child is he?
JAYDEN: Ours.
They both laugh.
NIA: Jayla, Jayden… how does it feel being here together?
JAYLA: Honestly? Weird.
JAYDEN: Very weird.
NIA: Why?
JAYLA: Because we’re used to doing the co-parenting thing. School pickups, birthdays, doctor’s appointments, all that. But being here knowing we’re supposed to actually talk about us?
Jayla looks at Jayden.
JAYLA: That’s different.
JAYDEN: I agree.

The front door opens again. Amara and Darius walk in with Zaria.
ZARIA: Is this where we’re staying?!
AMARA: Yes, baby.
DARIUS: And apparently we’re all roommates now.
ZARIA: Mommy and Daddy are roommates?
Amara and Darius look at each other.
AMARA: Something like that.
DARIUS: We’ll explain later.
NIA: Amara, Darius, welcome.
AMARA: Thank you. We’re excited.
DARIUS: Nervous too.
NIA: What are you nervous about?
DARIUS: Finding out if we’re actually ready to talk about everything.
AMARA: We’ve grown a lot since we broke up. I’m curious whether that growth brings us closer or just helps us understand why we needed to separate.
NIA: That’s a very honest answer.

The door opens for the final family. Serena walks in with Milan and Makai while Malik carries their bags.
MILAN: Wait… everybody lives here?!
SERENA: Apparently.
MALIK: This is gonna be interesting.
MILAN: Mommy, does this mean Daddy gets to stay with us?
Serena looks at Malik.
SERENA: Don’t start.
MALIK: I didn’t say anything!
MILAN: I’m just asking!
Everyone laughs.
NIA: Serena and Malik, you’ve been friends for a long time after your relationship ended. Do you think there’s still a chance?
SERENA: I don’t know.
MALIK: Same.
NIA: Not even a little?
Serena smiles.
SERENA: Ask me at the end of the summer.
MALIK: That’s fair.

Nia gathers everyone in the living room.
NIA: Here’s the deal. Nobody is here because a producer told you to fall in love.
The couples listen.
NIA: You’re here because you share children, you share history, and there’s enough love left between you to at least ask the question.
JAYLA: And if the answer is no?
NIA: Then it’s no.
AMARA: No pressure?
NIA: None.
DARIUS: That’s actually refreshing.
NIA: But I will ask you uncomfortable questions.
SERENA: There it is.
Everyone laughs.
NIA: Because this isn’t about pretending. It’s about finding out whether the people you used to love could become the people you choose again.
Kairo raises his hand.
KAIRO: Can we eat now?
